Code of Conduct
Playing Games of Warhammer can be intense, fast-paced and fun. There is nothing more epic than the clash of two mighty armies on the battlefield, and it’s easy to get carried away. Always remember to think of your opponent and how they might be feeling, and as you enjoy yourself, always make sure to be polite and respectful.
To ensure a good time for everyone, here are some helpful guidelines to follow. By being a member of the 10th Company you must agree to the following:
Respect the Space: Our club meets thanks to the generosity of Sword & Board and we must remember to follow the store’s rules and policies. That includes making sure to clean up after yourself and making sure tables, terrain, supplies, etc. are put away properly at the end of meetings.
Listen to Club Volunteers: Please listen to club volunteers. They are there to help and make sure everyone is having a good time and using hobby supplies in a safe way.
Be a Good Gamer: Gaming is a shared experience and every player is responsible for making sure everyone is having a good time. That includes:
Being helpful to new gamers who are learning the rules, reminding your opponent about rules they may have forgotten, and refraining from quarterbacking other people's games
Explaining your army’s special rules to your opponent
Asking permission before touching someone else’s models
Rolling dice where your opponent can see them
Measuring moves carefully and accurately
Being responsible with equipment and terrain
Accepting defeat with grace and congratulating your opponent on a game well played
And obviously, don’t cheat
Be Respectful Towards Others: The 10th Company is an inclusive environment. We welcome people of all races, gender identities, gender expressions, sexual orientations, physical abilities, physical appearances, socioeconomic backgrounds, nationalities, ages, religions and beliefs. Discrimination and harassment is entirely unacceptable. Be kind and considerate in your use of language.
Remember, playing games is meant to be fun. Make sure you and your opponent are having a good time. If you have a problem, please talk to one of the club volunteers either in person or in a private message on our Discord server.
